自 2008 年 2 月凱達環球有限公司及其海外夥伴英國葛艾活建築師事務所獲委任為負責制定中大的校園發展計劃的顧問後，顧問公司隨即展開校園勘察及收集詳盡資料的活動。在校園發展計劃首階段中，藉着一連串不同性質的活動，包括校園規劃交流會、校園規劃工作坊及論壇，顧問公司聆聽並且收集各書院、學院、學生、教職員、校友及大學其他成員的寶貴意見。

顧問公司認為首階段持份者交流活動蒐集到的寶貴意見，在他們草擬校園發展計劃概念設計上，有助釐清意念和辨明方向。顧問公司將於九月下旬提交校園發展規劃的概念設計及展開第二階段的諮詢活動。

廣泛的諮詢過程及最後成果皆對大學制訂一個可持續的校園發展計劃至為重要，顧問公司和校園發展計劃督導委員會歡迎和鼓勵大學成員繼續踴躍參與。

Campus Master Planning: Stage 1 Stakeholder Engagement Report

We are delighted to announce that the Consultant's Stage 1 Stakeholder Engagement Report is now ready for viewing. The report is released in English. The full report and the Chinese translation of the following sections of it are available on the website of CMP (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/cmp/en/):

Immediately after their appointment as respectively the consultant and architect of CUHK's Campus Master Planning (CMP) in February 2008, Aedas Limited and its overseas partner, Edward Cullinan Architect (UK), have started the Stage 1 CMP Study and launched a series of activities gathering detailed information. In this first stage of CMP, a series of events including engagement meetings, workshops and forum were organized to hear as well as collect views and priorities from the Colleges, Faculties, students, staff members, alumni and other members of the University community.

The Consultant considers the valuable information collected in Stage 1 Stakeholder Engagement useful in establishing concepts and directions of the conceptual CMP and they will present a Conceptual Planning Proposal and launch the Stage 2 engagement activities in late September.

Both the consultation process and the final outcome are important to the University in the formulation of a sustainable CMP. The Consultant and the Steering Committee encourage and welcome all University Members to continue participating actively in this Study.
